	The beginning of my journey to 500 began in Auburn, AL. Auburn is the town that I currently call home. the weather there is generally nice and there are many country roads to crank out the miles on. Today was no exception. The route I took was what you could call varying terrain, but those who live in the mountains would call it flat. With temperatures in the low 40's I didn't feel like the Michelin Man rolling down the road. I kept the pace moderate, continuously reminding myself that I have many more miles ahead of me. The overall distance was a bit short, although was out of necessity. After I finished I had to load up my girlfriend and two dogs and head towards Atlanta. There I will continue my journey to 500 km with a short jaunt to Oxford, AL thrown in for the fun of it. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that the weather on Sunday does not end up like the weatherman predicts. See the route »
